FAQs

Why Do I Need a Planner?

There are so many reasons why a planner is worth the investment for your wedding day. Something we hear most often is a client being thankful that they hired a planner to help make the most of their wedding budget. We can stretch your budget in some areas to focus on the vendors that are the most important to you. We also review your contracts with vendors to verify that their services are exactly what you are expecting on your big day. We are there for you on your wedding day to be the point of contact for your vendors, as well as handle any situations that may arise, so that you can focus on the most important part: being present.

What is the Difference Between a Coordinator and a Planner?

A Wedding Coordinator serves as the point of contact on the day of the wedding and handles preparation, typically beginning approximately one month or so before your wedding day. Wedding Coordinators confirm vendor contracts, create a day-of timeline, and ensure that vendor payments and guest counts are in order. Wedding Coordinators ensure that nothing is forgotten so that you're free to enjoy your wedding day!

A Wedding Planner is more involved with the logistics of your wedding process, which we offer to our Partial and Full Planning couples. We manage all the details that a Wedding Coordinator does and more. We attend vendor meetings, work closely with your budget, review contracts, and schedule additional meetings with you to ensure that everything is on track for your big day!

How will we communicate through the Planning Process

To keep everything organized and easy to reference, communication is primarily conducted via email. This ensures all details, decisions, and updates are clearly documented throughout the planning process.

In addition, scheduled planning meetings are included within your package to review progress, discuss details, and provide guidance at key points throughout your planning journey.

Do You Serve LGBTQ Couples?

Absolutely! Love is love, and we are honored to serve all couples. At Joined by Love Wedding Planning, we believe every love story deserves to be celebrated with care, respect, and joy. We are proud to work with couples of all backgrounds who are truly “Joined by Love.”

Do you charge travel fees?

We serve weddings within one hour of our location without additional travel fees. For venues located beyond this range, a travel fee may apply, typically starting between $150–$250 depending on distance and travel time.

For weddings requiring extended travel, overnight accommodations and additional travel arrangements may be required. All travel details will be clearly discussed and confirmed in advance so there are no surprises.

We are always happy to discuss travel for weddings outside of our standard service area.

Can we trade out individual services within our package?

Our planning packages are thoughtfully designed to provide the level of support needed for a smooth and successful wedding day, so individual services are not typically removed or exchanged.

However, we understand that every wedding is unique. We are always happy to discuss your specific needs and may be able to make small adjustments where appropriate. Additional services can also be added to better support your planning experience.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer monthly payment plans for your convenience.

Your personalized payment schedule is outlined in your proposal prior to signing your contract, allowing you to review the full payment structure in advance. Your total balance is divided into equal monthly payments throughout your planning period.

The final payment is due 30 days prior to your wedding day.

This structure allows you to plan and budget with ease as you move through the planning process.

What are your Office Hours?

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We understand that many couples have busy schedules, so we do offer limited evening availability until 7:00 PM one day per week, as well as occasional weekend appointments by request.
